Ans: Jerome offered to do the packing as he noticed that he knew more regarding packing than any other living being. He concept that he would get a offer to lead over the job.

ii. Lead- means 'role'. For example, After the program, Sameer took the lead on the new project.

Ans: Both reacted very radically differently from what the writer had desired them to. When Jerome stated that he would do the packing, they instantly agreed the suggestion. George distribute himself over the simple-chair and Harris slumped his legs laid up on the table.
